Another week, another celeb hair transformation. People's favorite stars are constantly changing their hairstyles — from drastic cuts to fun new highlights — offering their fans a constant stream of hair-appointment-inspiration. And Sofia Vergara's new bangs are no exception. The Modern Family actress is known for her long, rib-cage skimming hair, but fringe is not usually included in that coif scenario. Which is why it was exciting to see her new look pop up on Instagram, where she debuted her drastic change. Snapping a photo in her car right after her salon visit, she's sporting eyelash-skimming bangs that run across the forehead and are shattered (rather than perfectly blunt) at the ends. Seeing how Vergara's birthday was July 10th, this might have been a transformation she treated herself to in honor of the big day. Why not start a new year with a new look, right?

"Vergara hasn't rocked fringe since 2010, and even those were sideswept ones. Her new blunt, eyebrow-length look oozes the sex appeal we've come to expect from the gorgeous Modern Family star in a contemporary way," PopSugar reported. The eye-skimming bangs are definitely on brand for Vergara, and the new chop might just inspire many fans to pick up the scissors themselves.

The caption on the photo reveals that her longtime hairstylist, Kelly Kline, was the master behind the transformation. "Kelly Kline's been doing Sofia's hair for years now. The last big change she did was the actress's "blond" in 2013," Glamour reported. Seeing how many people are usually hesitant to get their bangs trimmed (it's a long grow out process!) it's definitely a good idea to go to a person you already trust. So what should you ask for at the salon if you want bangs just like these? Sometimes you bring in a photo to a hairstylist and there's a slight miscommunication and you leave with something you didn't envision, so it's good to know which keywords you should zero in on.

"During a consultation for choppy fringe, descriptive words such as 'piece-y' and 'textured' should be used. If this is the look that you're going for stay away from saying blunt or heavy," Sarah Ramos, the hairstylist and manager at MacKenzie Hair Parlor, tells Bustle. Bring a photo of Vergara, use those two buzzwords, and you'll be on your way to copying this look and flaunting your flirty summer style.
