If there's one thing that's comin' on back into fashion, it's bright eyeshadow. Even I — someone who was anti-eyeshadow for years — have found myself smearing dark teals and purples across my lids. So when I saw Sophia Bush's hot pink eyeshadow at the 2017 SAG Awards, I instantly fell in love.
It reminded me of all the makeup photos I've seen on Instagram as of late. Have you noticed the red trend, too? Makeup gurus have been showing off rosy eyeshadow variations, from darker reds to subtler pinks. The pretty hue gives eyes a sort of lived-in look, like you stayed up all night having fun. (I kind of love it.)
Eyeshadow is definitely back, in a big way. So it was great to see Bush rock it so boldly on the red carpet. Of course, hers was less lived-in and more glam — which was all thanks the hot pinkness of it all.
The Chicago Fire actress matched her outfit to her eyes (or, OK, maybe it was the other way around) with a hot pink sleeveless Marchesa dress. It featured a gorgeous side gather in the shape of a heart. Her hair was simple and pulled back, with a few wavy pieces framing her face. Take a look below.
