Here's How To Get Free Starbucks This Month

For the next five days, everyone's favorite coffee joint is having a promotion in which you can go to Starbucks and buy macchiato — and then get one free. The event runs from Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, perfectly sandwiching International Friendship Day, which falls on Aug. 6. (Sorry for saying sandwich: if that word excited you, you'll just have to wait until Nov. 3, which is the official national holiday — or you could just go eat a sandwich because the faux holiday calendar need not control our stomachs.) So, if you weren't sure if you were going to have the time or money to do something for your friends on the holiday, now you have your answer. You don't need to spend any extra money or time!

When you go to get your afternoon coffee, get a second one for free and give it to a friend who needs it. Bringing someone coffee is such a small gesture, but it never goes under appreciated. No one's ever disappointed to see someone coming towards them with an extra cup of caffeine — no one. It's just the little, simple act of kindness that will totally make someone's day and make them feel warm and fuzzy (and caffeinated) inside. So, surprise someone with a macchiato, or meet up with a friend for a macchiato. Freebie situations are the best excuses to meet up with friends — you know, if you needed one.

The promotion only runs from 2 to 5 p.m. during those days, so during the middle of the day when you start to wonder if it's really worth it go to Starbucks and get one last cup of coffee to power through the day — you now know it's worth it. Get up out of your chair, take a quick walk to your local Starbucks and take advantage of this promotion, because it won't be here for long, and if you miss out on it, you're not doing yourself any frugal-minded favors.

Happy sipping and saving, y'all!
