Taylor Swift & Zayn's Music Video Is Here At Last

by Amy Mackelden

Since it was revealed that Taylor Swift had recorded a brand new song with Zayn Malik, fans haven't been able to contain their excitement. The duet is taken from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack and is a truly visionary combination of styles and voices. It's also intensely catchy. Thus, it's incredibly unsurprising, given the major talents these two possess, that the music video for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is completely amazing, too.

Swift and Zayn are perfect together, musically that is. Zayn is famously dating her bestie Gigi Hadid, so the new Fifty Shades Darker song is a match made in heaven on several levels. It's exciting to see the musicians, whose individual styles are so very different, release a music video together, and it will certainly get viewers extremely excited for the return of Christian Grey.

Fans of Swift have been waiting a long time for the former country singer to release new music. By pairing with Zayn, she's reaching a new audience, and cementing her status as a pop superstar. As for the former One Direction member, he continues to climb the ladder by duetting with one of the most famous artists in the world. Basically, "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is the perfect song to kickstart 2017 in the right way.

As the sneak peaks on Swift's Instagram suggested, the "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" music video does not disappoint. The pair are seen living the life of Christian and Ana in Fifty Shades Darker. From impressive black town cars to huge mansions with mood lighting, the video for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is dark, stylish, and seriously romantic. While these two clearly aren't a couple in real life, their chemistry on screen is definitely inspired by the Fifty Shades series, as are their music video personas.

The lyrics to Swift and Zayn's new song hint at a turbulent relationship between two obsessive people, who don't feel right unless they're together. The music video fits with this theme perfectly and is the best precursor to the next Fifty Shades movie.
