‘The Bachelorette’s Peter Kraus Has Dreamed Of This Since High School

ABC

As it turns out, there are actually people that dream of being reality TV stars. This includes current Bachelorette contestant Peter Kraus. As TMZ reported, one of Kraus' future goals was to be The Bachelor. We know this thanks to Kraus' 2005 high school senior yearbook where he reportedly wrote that, after graduating Edgewood High in Madison, WI, he'd like to "go to art school, become famous in one way or another, be on The Bachelor, live happily." (Bustle has reached out to ABC, who declined to comment on the story.) Let's take a moment to notice that Kraus allegedly prioritized finding fame before being on The Bachelor. While the former model and current personal trainer is a frontrunner this season, this new reported discovery definitely makes you wonder if he's there for "the right reasons."

UPDATE: Kraus commented on the pic on his Instagram, writing, "#tbt to what has got to be one of the most fantastic year book blurbs I've ever seen. So ridiculous even I had to check its authenticity! Well... when I set my mind to something at 17... apparently I really stick to it 😂😂 I'm just glad no one noticed the real atrocity here... the impeccable fashion sense. #lifegoals#icanteven#peterpeterpeter#smh#probablytookmelongertolinemyhairup#thatshirtsonfiretho#coolbeforeitwascool"

EARLIER: Being there for the wrong reasons is an accusation that's already been raised against a few of Kraus' fellow contestants — including Lucas “Whaboom” Yancey, who has his own IMDb page. Yancey, who was eliminated in Week 2, has seven acting credits to his name, including a role as "himself" on another reality show called Ex Isle.

Earlier this week, Yancey admitted he was on The Bachelorette for fame, telling The Domenick Nati Show that "I wasn't there to get the next rose. That's obviously part of it, but it's mostly about being on the show." He also spilled the tea, explaining that most of the guys aren't there for love. "In reality, what person after meeting them after five minutes says, 'I'm in love'?" I can't argue with him there.

That's why it's worth noting that Kraus isn't the only contestant vying for Lindsay's heart whose past is filled with reality show hopes and dreams. It was revealed that The Bachelorette’s Bryan Abasolo was previously on The Player, a short-lived reality show that tested a guy's "player" skills, or ability to pick up women. The chiropractor from Miami, FL, was eliminated because the woman he was trying to pick up "felt he had no game." That's probably not a good sign for his future with Lindsay, although he's still managed to keep his spot on the show for now.

And so has Kraus, who's been a standout of this season. It's even been speculated that Kraus will ultimately be the one to win Lindsay's heart, though Alex Bordyukov could be a worthy contender for the final rose as well. Of course, we'll have to wait and see if that's the case at the end of the season. Either way, let's hope Kraus is there for the right reasons and not to check something off his bucket list.
