Bustle's Editors On 'TIME' 100 + Steve Madden

by Melissa Mills

TGIT, amirite?! The weekend's not here just yet, but we were blessed with Starbucks' magical AF Unicorn Frappuccino this week, so what do we really have to complain about? Besides, today's been a doozy of a news day. Between reports of a potential Spice Girls reunion (which is supposed to be for real this time) and Time's list of the 100 most influential people of 2017 (more on that below), there's been a lot to take in. Here's what really had Bustle's editors talking today, April 20.

Time 100 + 2017

Just this morning, Time magazine released its picks for the 100 most influential people of 2017. The top five on the list — who, by the way, made the magazine's cover — include John Legend, Viola Davis, Jeff Bezos, Melinda Gates, and Riz Ahmed. This year's list also boasts a number of people of color, members of the LGBT community, and women, making it refreshingly progressive. Go, Time!

Quote of the Day: "The year 2016 was when all the seeds he planted bore glorious fruit, and here's the best part: he's just getting started." - Lin-Manuel Miranda on Riz Ahmed's spot on the Time 100 list. Agree times 100, Lin.

Steve Madden + Cult Fave

Steve Madden is officially bringing back its cult favorite ’90s sandal — you know, the ones you begged your mom for back in the day. The slinky platform sandals, which are currently available for pre-order on stevemadden.com, will cost ya $69.95, and are set to ship in early July. So get ready to hear that familiar clunk-clunk-clunk at brunch, the office, and just about everywhere very, very soon.

Props Are in Order: In celebration of Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, Gap and Athleta are making a new commitment to using sustainable fabrics, which is just really freaking cool.

Game of Thrones + Season 7

HBO released the first official Game of Thrones Season 7 photos today, giving fans a glimpse into what their favorite characters will be up to this season. We may all still be waiting patiently for a promo with footage from upcoming episodes, but these photos will definitely get you excited for July 16.

TV Drama: In a new clip from this coming Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kris Jenner declares that she's "dunzo" with Caitlyn Jenner. In other words, you're going to want to tune in Sunday night, because it looks like it's going to be dramatic AF.

IKEA + Meatballs

Great news, IKEA lovers: Your favorite furniture company is considering opening standalone restaurants. You read that right; IKEA food (including their world-famous selection of meatballs) could soon move outside of the furniture stores and just be places to go to straight-up eat. Yummm...

LOL of the Day: Despite everything that's happened recently, United Airlines still has a higher approval rating than Donald Trump does. Heh.
