Bustle's Editors On 'Vogue' & The Clooney Twins

by Rachel Simon

Nothing like a snow day, am I right? Well, if you're on the East Coast today, at least. It's a total blizzard out there, which means hot chocolate, fuzzy blankets, and Real Housewives marathons on TV — basically, an ideal day, minus the freezing outdoors.

If you're not on this side of the country, though, your day was probably a bit more standard (and a whole lot warmer). Wherever you are, here's what you might've missed on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Women + "She Was Warned"

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's criticism of Elizabeth Warren during Jeff Sessions' confirmation hearing has taken on a life of its own in the past few days, with many women using "She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted" as a feminist rallying cry. In this article, nine women share their stories of also being "warned" by men not to do something, but, like Warren, persisting.

Listen below to hear the Bachelor's thoughts on sending women home, the pressure that comes with being the show's lead, and much more.

Diversity + That Vogue Cover

When Vogue revealed their latest cover, many people were quick to praise it for being "diverse" and "inclusive," but in reality, it's not quite either of those things. Here, Bustle's Amanda Richards breaks down her thoughts on the Vogue cover and explains why we need to be careful when labeling things "revolutionary" when, in fact, they're not that at all.

Pro Tip: It may sound intriguing, but trust writer Hatti Rex and skip the "apply your foundation using a Beautyblender in a condom" trend for now, OK?

George & Amal + Twins!!

Another set of celeb twins are (reportedly) arriving this year. According to reports, George and Amal Clooney are expecting twins, with the babies due in June. Neither star has confirmed the news just yet, and George has expressed mixed feelings about parenthood in the past. Here's hoping the report is true, though, because man, would these two kids have the coolest mom and dad ever.

#TBT: Remember the good 'ol days of American Idol? Oh wait, that was just last year. But already, an Idol revival is possibly in the works. Sigh.
