Bustle's Editors On Justin Timberlake + Paris Hilton

Happy New Year and welcome to 2018! I'm sure we're all glad to leave 2017 behind and begin afresh. Hopefully, your resolutions are still going strong, and you're well rested after the winter holidays. There are some big (and exciting) announcements to share, so without further ado, here's all the newsworthy buzz, today on Jan. 2:

Justin Timberlake + New Album

Ohmygod Justin Timberlake is coming out with new music — THIS IS NOT A DRILL! The singer announced the release date of his 4th solo album, Man of the Woods, today with a very dramatic teaser video. Between footage of stunning woodland vistas, bonfires, and Timberlake himself running through the wilderness, we aren't entirely sure what to expect with this new album (but let's be honest, it's going to be great).

Man of the Woods drops on Feb. 2, but if you can't wait that long, fear not, the first single from the album will be released this week on Friday, Jan 5. There's also a bunch of hilarious memes to keep you entertained until then.

Today Show + Hoda Kotb

Hoda Kotb is officially the new Today show host, replacing Matt Lauer after he was fired due to multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. This is the first time in the morning show's history that they've been two women hosts, and yes it's about time! Kotb's new position was announced this morning by fellow co-host Savannah Guthrie.

Paris Hilton + Engagement

Over New Years weekend, Paris Hilton got engaged to actor Chris Zylka. The couple has been dating for about two years, and Zylka proposed to the heiress on the ski slopes in Aspen, Colorado. Of course, there were plenty of pictures documenting this sweet moment, which you definitely need to take a peek at.

The Bachelor + Season Premiere

The Bachelor is back, kicking off 2018 with a whole lot of drama and tears. The new season premiered on Jan. 1, where 29 contestants got to meet Arie Luyendyk and a few got eliminated. Already, there was a controversial first impression rose pick, some brewing age-related drama, and a strong contender for this season's villain.

Hot Take: A lot of people had some thoughts on Luyendyk being cast before the premiere, but three-time Bachelor star, Nick Viall tweeted perhaps the funniest (and accurate, TBH) reaction about the new season.

What To Watch: So, everyone on Twitter is freaking out about the new Fifty Shades Freed trailer and when you see it, you'll totally understand why.
