The First 'Will & Grace' Reunion Promo Is Here

NBC

On Wednesday, NBC officially confirmed after much speculation and hope that Will & Grace will return with 10 brand new episodes come the 2017-18 TV season. Adding to all of that excitement is the first Will & Grace reunion promo. "It was a television phenomenon winning 16 Emmy awards," the video announces. "And now do we have an announcement for you. Will, Grace, Karen, Jack, back together again." If you consider yourself a die-hard Will & Grace fan, then be prepared to get chills while watching the 43-second teaser.

To be clear, there isn't footage of the revival in the teaser, but the fact that there is a promo touting the return of one of the most beloved sitcoms ever is a huge deal.

The promo combines old footage from when Will & Grace was on the air for eight seasons beginning in 1998, in addition to clips from their short reunion during the 2016 election. The cast got together to film a scene in support of Hillary Clinton and in hopes of encouraging others to vote for her.

I'm not usually one for revivals, especially since they seem to happen more often than not as of lately, but the fact that Eric McCormack (Will), Debra Messing (Grace), Megan Mullally (Karen), and Sean Hayes (Jack) flawlessly created a new scene after 10 years off the air? Well, that's all I need to know that the revival will most likely be just as entertaining. They clearly haven't lost their touch.

What makes this news even more wonderful isn't just that all four main cast members are all returning, but that series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan are on board as showrunners and executive producers.

If you haven't yet, get up and do your best Footloose dance alongside Will Truman and Kevin Bacon, because this announcement most definitely deserves some celebration.
