The Lego Batman Movie has finally hit theaters, and it's getting some rave reviews. In large part, that is due to the incredible storytelling and stunning animation that has always been a critical part of the DNA of the Lego films. The other secret ingredient, of course, is the casting. The voice cast of The Lego Batman Movie is completely genius, and goes a long way toward making the film such a great piece of movie magic.
One of the best things about the Lego movies is how utterly fun and creative they are, and the cast they've assembled to do voice work for this newest film is perfect for that. Many of them are lifelong comedians, but they all have different niches and skills and bring totally unique energy to their work. The Lego Batman Movie's voice cast features plenty of serious, traditional actors and performers as well as comedic ones, but the whole group is able to let go and be goofy. I'm not sure if the cast ever got to record while in the same room as one another (often for animated films, they do their voice work separately), but if they did, I bet it was an absolutely blast.

Will Arnett
The Batman himself is voiced by Arnett, and his outlandish roles in Arrested Development and Bojack Horseman suggest he'll be a perfect fit for adding some humor to moody broody Bruce Wayne.

Ralph Fiennes may have played the live-action Voldemort, but legendary British comedian and queer icon Izzard voices Lego Voldemort in this movie. I have no idea why Voldemort is in The Lego Batman Movie, but I love it.
