You Have To See Opening Ceremony's Glitter Vans

by Kali Borovic

Have you ever wanted to take everything you own and cover it with glitter? Well, now you don't have to DIY. Opening Ceremony created glitter Vans, and they're everything you never knew you needed in your wardrobe. The shimmery sneaker is taking social media by storm. Twitter is obsessed with the Glitter OG Old Skool LX Sneaker, and once you see it, you will be too.

I'm a firm believer that glitter makes everything better. Thankfully, so Opening Ceremony seems to agree. The brand took the classic Vans sneaker and turned it into your '90s fantasy by covering it with glitter. I'm not just talking small, shimmery details either. Every single inch of this sneaker is covered in shiny particles. According to Opening Ceremony's tweet, this is the first time that Vans has released a shoe completely covered in glitter.

The Glitter OG Old Skool LX Sneaker comes in three different colors — blue, black, and pink — and is available on the Vans website right now. The shoe is a part of the Vans for Opening Ceremony Collection and is an online exclusive. As of Mar. 4, just one day after the launch, the pink sneaker is almost completely sold out and the other two shades are on their way to selling out just as fast.

Each pair is $110, which is a small price to pay for making your wardrobe all the more glittery. The shoes are unisex, so you'll have to be careful when you're picking a size. According to the website, the shoes are in men's sizing, but they offer a conversion chart so women can get in on the shimmery fun as well.

To say that Twitter is obsessed with the shoe is an understatement. Men and women are loving them, which makes sense considering how fast the style is selling. Here's what people have to say about the design.

Personal brand: pink glitter sneaker.

True.

I finally understand the whole love at first sight thing.

PSA!

Claps all around!

Maybe not your life, but definitely your closet.

Fingers cross that there will be a restock, because these shoes are too good not to have.
