The 'Rogue One' Cast Looked Awesome At The Oscars

Star Wars is the definition of the word epic: Epic storylines, epic characters, and epic visual effects. It came as no surprise when the franchise's latest installment was nominated for two special effects Oscars — but fans are hoping to be surprised by the Rogue One cast's 2017 Oscars outfits.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which follows a group of rebels as they conspire to steal the Death Star plans, was nominated for Oscars in sound mixing and special effects. And, of course, Star Wars-borne companies Lucasfilm and Skywalker Sound are behind the effects.

Though the film's cast didn't snag any noms, they were still out in full force (get it?) on the red carpet. Felicity Jones, who stars as Rogue One's headstrong heroine Jyn Erso, has basically perfect red carpet style at every awards show ever, so fans knew to expect greatness — though maybe not greatness as peak as her 2015 Alexander McQueen dress.

Other stars fans had their eyes peeled for included favorite Diego Luna, as well as Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, and Forest Whitaker. With a lineup as star-studded as this one, folks knew to expect runway excellence.
