If you follow her on any of her various social media outlets, you've probably noticed that Kylie Jenner always has perfect swatches on Snapchat. They're always impeccably lit, they're always flawlessly shaped, and they're always painted on with the perfect amount of product — in other words, they always manage to show off her latest Kylie Cosmetics shades and products to best possible advantage. So, what's the special secret behind her swatching process? How does she manage to get it so right every time?

Well, it comes down to a few factors, a hefty dose of perfectionism being one of them. But there's also something a little surprising about her process, a secret ingredient, so to speak: In a recent profile with Fast Company, Jenner revealed that she always likes to use her housekeeper's arm for swatches. "She has the best arm for swatches," she explained. "She’s so nice and just sits there and has her arm ready and lets me do my thing." So basically, if you thought it was Jenner's own forearm you were seeing painted with all the new colors from her Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit collaboration with her big sister Kim? Well, it's safe to say that you thought wrong.

It's only something that would happen in the Kardashian universe, right? It's honestly a little weird — though, hopefully the swatching process is something they both enjoy... and who knows, maybe Jenner's housekeeper doesn't mind lending her services as an arm model. Maybe it makes for fun employer-employee bonding? At least this mystery woman is finally getting the credit she deserves.

After all, when it comes right down to it, her housekeeper's role is actually pretty significant in the scheme of things. Because as Jenner points out, she doesn't use any marketing outside of social media — so her swatches are an important part of her business model. As Jenner puts it:

I don’t pay for advertisements. I don’t do commercials. Social media is the only way I push it: Snapchat, Instagram ... Everyone knows when I’m releasing a product on Snapchat that I will be MIA for the next hour and a half. I’m running around my house, finding the perfect lighting, the perfect swatches.

So, let's raise a glass to Kylie and her housekeeper. To many more successful swatches!
