Throughout the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday night, host Adam Devine has been parodying some of the year's biggest movies. So, when it came to a funny skit about Get Out, Devine combined the movie's "Sunken Place" with another pop culture phenomenon. Barb from Stranger Things starred in Devine's "Sunken Place" parody at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The bit co-starred Get Out star Allison Williams, who sent Devine into the "Sunken Place" just like in the movie: by clinking a spoon against a teacup, leading Devine right down into it.

Once in the "Sunken Place," Devine encountered none other than the internet's favorite character: Barb from Stranger Things. So, in this case, the "Sunken Place" is also the Upside Down from the Netflix series and your mind should be blown right now. How could the two shows be possibly connected? Well, it's not going to make much logical sense, but isn't that part of the fun? Let's just enjoy this mashup of one of the biggest TV series on the air right now, one of the best movies of the year so far, and one of the most beloved characters in one funny and playful bit starring Devine.

The skit was among many wins Stranger Things had at the awards show on Sunday night. The Netflix series also won trophies for Show of the Year and Best Actor in a Show for Millie Bobby Brown. It was a great night for the series and its fans — especially since the late Barb made a comeback at the awards show in a hilariously crowd-pleasing way.
