Well, horror fans, the moment you've been waiting for all year is here! There was an It trailer at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, and holy moly, this movie is going to be legitimately terrifying.

So, for those of you who don't know, It is a book by horror master Stephen King, and it was also turned into a miniseries in 1990. It starred Tim Curry as the terrifying clown Pennywise (and it is also over three hours long, which is long for horror) and followed the same basic premise as the book: an interdimensional predator clown named Pennywise can transform himself into your greatest fear, exploiting the phobias of his victims. The Losers Club, a bunch of outcast kids, vow to take down and destroy Pennywise any way they can. The It trailer at the MTV Movie & TV Awards showed the beginning of their journey — all of the kids mucking around in the sewers, trying to figure out what kind of entity was haunting their town. It was, oh, about a minute long, and I'm already terrified. Watch it for yourself and see.

This movie has everything I love — big-time scares, terrifying clowns, talented kids, and plenty of jump scares. Pennywise is like Santa Claus or Freddy Kruger, because he knows when you're awake and he also knows what will terrify you to death. I can't wait until September 8, 2017 (just in time to scare my pants off before Halloween) when it hits the big screens. I just have to hope that Pennywise doesn't get me before then, but for now I'm going to stay out of the sewers, and I advise you do the same.
