You Need These Tiny Babies Dressed As Disney Princesses In Your Life

by Lara Rutherford-Morrison

There is a hefty dose of awfulness in the air at the moment, so here’s a little something to bring you some much-needed joy: Dangerously adorable newborn babies dressed as Disney princesses. You read that correctly: Tiny, scrunchy-faced newborn babies. Disney princesses. The results are just as delightful as you’d imagine.

This fairy-tale photo shoot comes courtesy of photographer Karen Marie, of Belly Beautiful Portraits in Roseville, California. The series features tiny versions of Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and Jasmine, with sets designed by Karen Marie and opulent (miniature) gowns created by Valerie Best from Sew Trendy Accessories.

Karen Marie, who has specialized in maternity and baby photography for more than a decade, told the Huffington Post that she was inspired to do the photo shoot by her love of Disney. “The amazing tales of love and heroism have always been an inspiration to me, and now I see it inspiring my girls,” she said. And she’s not done: The mom of three told the Huffington Post that she’s also working on photo shoots for baby-Moana, Pocahontas, and Tiana.

The photos show brand-new humans sleeping peacefully, surrounded by accessories that call back to classic Disney films: A pumpkin for Cinderella, a magic carpet for Jasmine, and so on. I think my fave is Ariel — that fork!
