It sounds like ice is finally going to meet fire on Game of Thrones. Time's cover story for the hit HBO series teases new Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers that will have fans praying to the old gods and the new ones for July 16 to get here already. While writer Daniel D'Addario was sworn to secrecy during his set visit, he hints at a long-awaited battle finally taking place. It's true that his words could describe several scenarios, but context clues hint at Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons laying waste to the enemy. The biggest question is which enemy?

D'Addoria writes, "Thrones has been promising this clash all along, and when the time comes, the Internet will melt." That added to the fact that he was on the set while the Mother of Dragons flew into action — literally — suggest now that Daenerys is in Westeros she may be ready to wade into the fight against the White Walkers. Cersei may feel like the more immediate threat to her claim on the Iron Throne, but if the Night's King and his army breach The Wall, all of Westeros will be in major trouble.

George R.R. Martin named the book series on which the show is based A Song of Ice and Fire for a reason. The two sides were always destined to collide, and their respective representatives — Jon Snow and Daenerys — are finally in the right position to meet. The King in the North is going to need all the help he can get to stave off the incoming wave of undead soldiers, and Daenerys' dragons could certainly help his cause.

The article further reveals that the battle was shot in a drained Belfast quarry with icy winds sending the players involved looking for warmth from coffee between takes. So far, both of the Game of Thrones Season 7 trailers have been packed with intense battle scenes. Fans know there's going to be a clash on the sea involving the Greyjoys, a huge Lannister siege that sends Jaime running through a fiery battlefield, and, of course, lots of White Walker action.

Any one of these battles could be the battle, and that just goes to show how expansive the series has become. With only 13 episodes spread across two seasons, the characters are finally coming together. Thankfully, that means story threads are also paying off. If that means fans finally get to see dragons face-off with White Walkers then it will definitely soften the blow that you're much closer to end of the story than the beginning.
