There's nothing quite as exciting for Star Wars fans as the speculation surrounding a new film in the canon. One such film that's gathering a lot of curiosity is the Han Solo spinoff. Finally, we have a least a little bit more to work with, now that new photos from the Han Solo set have emerged. Thanks to TMZ, it looks like the Han Solo spinoff will have retro Star Wars vibes like fans saw in Rogue One, and it appears to be just as gritty and rough.

TMZ was only able to release three photos from the Han Solo spinoff set, but believe me, things already look pretty damn interesting. One of the first ones that will grab your attention is of Alden Ehrenreich, who plays the young Han Solo. It appears he's getting the tougher parts of the film out of the way first, as indicated by the roughed-up costume and fake bruises on his face (thanks, stage makeup!).

In addition to the ominous sign that the young Han Solo will be getting his fair share of scrapes, there's also a preview of what appears to be Han's main form of transportation. To put it in Earthling terms, the vehicle looks like it was part car, part hovercraft, and all-in-all very cool. In one of the photos, it looks like Ehrenreich might actually be seated in this mythical craft and getting a feel for it.

The vehicle recalls some of the bulkier, older ships and vehicles from Rogue One, as well as the original Star Wars trilogy from the '70s and '80s. If this kind of design scheme holds up, then Han Solo spinoff directors Chris Lord and Phil Miller may be intending to honor the retro feel of the Star Wars universe. This would be doubly good news because, as you know, this Han Solo spinoff would happen before Rogue One, meaning the look and feel should be older than previous Star Wars films.

I know it's not much to go on, but don't these on-set photos look cool or what? Something tells me this is a good sign for the Han Solo spinoff film.
