Liam Hemsworth & Miley Cyrus' Holiday Pic Is Pretty Awk

The holidays are here, which means it's time for all of the usual (and sometimes stressful) traditions. Yes, that obviously includes the task of taking family photos. For example, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth took a holiday photo with Cyrus' family. The singer's sister Brandi Cyrus shared it on Instagram Tuesday along with the caption, "Cyrus fam Christmas in full swing." Clearly, they are already in the spirit of the season and as cute as the photo may be, it's also a bit uncomfortable to look at.

First, let's talk about Hemsworth. He almost looks like a cardboard cutout, doesn't he? Seriously, The Hunger Games actor could easily be cut out of the picture and no one would ever know he was there. Why is he so far at the end and not getting in on all of the family love, especially from his fiancée? The Cyrus' are all snuggled up to each other and then there is Hemsworth chilling on the end all by his lonesome self. Maybe that's just where he ended up when they decided to take a picture, but it's still kind of awkward.

Then, there is Cyrus' dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. If you can't find him, he is standing next to Hemsworth. I'm not entirely sure what is happening there with him, but his facial expression says it all. If he is trying to say by not smiling how much he hates taking family pictures, well, mission accomplished. I think many can relate to him if that is the case. Of course, maybe he was having a bad day or didn't realize the photo was being taken at that moment. Whatever the case, Billy Ray doesn't appear to be feeling this holiday tradition. Or, you know, he is just doing his best "Blue Steel" pose.

Though, when isn't any type of family picture just plain uncomfortable? Even when it's with your immediate family, taking a picture can be all-around miserable. Sometimes it feels like you're staring at the camera and holding a smile for eternity. Then, the first take usually turns out horrible so you have to do it all over again. Oh, and let's not forget about if you do or don't need the flash. Of course, there is also that moment when whoever is taking the photo decides to take an hour to actually do it. Yeah, family photos are so joyous, aren't they?

Really, the holidays wouldn't be complete without at least one awkward family photo, so the Cyruses are already doing right by the season.
