This Girl's At-Home Eyebrow Tinting Hack Is Going Viral & Honestly It's Genius

by Kali Borovic

Social media is a powerful thing. It brings people of all locations and walks of life together in one place. It also brings together people in the same state of brows. As Allure found, an at-home brow dying tutorial is going viral for its' incredible tips. This solution for a bolder look is fool-proof and temporary, so, as the Twitter user says, "YOLO."

If 2017 taught beauty fans anything, besides that you can contour with just about any kitchen item, it's that people will do anything for bold brows. Thankfully, the latest doesn't involve any weird products or hygiene issues. Twitter user @Gabbi484 found a way to get bold, semi-permanent brows for under $10 and ten minutes of work.

As soon as @Gabbi484 posted photos of her before and after at-home brow dying gone right, people were dying to know what she used. Proving that she's a social media angel, she shared every single step in the thread. All you need is a box of mustache dye, petroleum jelly, and ten minutes, according to the Twitter thread.

You control the shape and color of your brows, and there's also a full-proof way to fix them if the process goes awry. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, the proof is in the Twitter photos.

The photo, which has almost 15,000 retweets and over 70,000 likes, is followed by a full, step-by-step tutorial. All you have to do is make sure your brows are clean, — Gabbi484 used an alcohol towelette — block off your brows with petroleum jelly, and then apply the color wherever you want the color.

As Allure points out, the Twitter user used white paint to block off her brows in the photo, but this isn't the safest option. To make sure you don't have any allergic reactions, other users recommend the petroleum jelly has worked just as well.

Gabbi484 waited five minutes and then wiped off the color to get her desired shade. Obviously it all depends on how deep you want to go with the color. After that, you'll have semi-permanent dyed brows. It's that simple.

There's even a way to clean up the edges if you don't like the result. According to Twitter reactions, all you have to do it wash it off with another alcohol towelette right away. Like I said before, the brush-in color is only temporary, so it will fade eventually. For so little time and money, this is definitely worth the try.

Gabbi484 isn't the only one who has tried the at-home brow tip, either. Tons of different people have taken her advice and it's gone just as smoothly. The main tip that people suggest is taking off the dye on the front of your brow two minutes before the rest. This creates a more natural, filled in look.

But don't just take their word for it. Here's a look at some of the other brow results that came from this thread, because the proof is in the fleekness.

Tell em that these don't look professionally done and you'd be lying. Claps all around for these brows.

There's nothing wrong with a gradual process. You can always add a little as you go to get your desired look.

It looks so incredibly natural. I love how this person showed the entire process too.

The emojis say it all.

Someone give this girl a beauty award because she is changing lives.

It's crazy how natural this looks.

Yes, yes it did.

Someone needs to change the name on this box of hair dye, because it's not "Just For Men" anymore.
