This $7 Drugstore Palette Is A Total Dupe For The $54 Naked Heat Palette

by Summer Arlexis

Ahh, summer 2017, a glorious time when Urban Decay dropped a highly-coveted set of fiery neutrals like it was NBD. Following the brand's launch, Urban Decay Naked Heat dupes popped up all season long, as other cosmetic companies created palettes with burnt orange, amber, and sienna hues à la the Naked collection creators.

At $54 a pop, UD's Heat palette comes with a pretty hefty price tag. While the steamy 12-shadow set features some of the most gorgeous neutrals with quality pigmentation, that's just not an ideal price point for all beauty enthusiasts. Even the best dupes like the $45 Tarte Toasted Palette didn't offer a huge savings for Heat. Luckily, a worthy rival palette is on the market that delivers similar neutrals at an unrivaled price.

Enter the Makeup Revolution Re-Loaded Palette in Iconic Fever. A set of warm, burnt mattes, and coppery shimmers, the MUR palette is practically the Naked Heat palette in disguise. It's just the incredible $7 price tag that sets it apart from UD's best-seller, making it such an affordable beauty buy.

It may be hard to believe that any shadow set under $10 can stand up to the Heat palette. But rest assured this baby is a jaw-dropper.

Photos don't lie. MUR's gem features similar earthy hues with the same fiery undertones, and there's no denying that. There's the rich sienna that favors Naked Heat's "He Devil". A deep espresso matte with purple undertones mirrors UD's "Ashes". And there's even several rose gold and brown metallics that compare to "Lumbre", "Dirty Talk", and "Scorched".

Although a dual-ended brush does not come with the palette, as it does with Heat, extra shadows make up for what the MUR version lacks. There are 15 shades total, so you're really getting more bang for your buck with the Re-Loaded palette— not to mention, the pan sizes appear to be much bigger than the Naked Heat shadows.

From the looks of it, the shadows also feature an intense pigmentation for such a low price. Creating the smokiest copper and sultry eyes looks are possible with just a few swatches of this dream palette. When it's put into action, it's hardly differentiated from looks created with the Heat palette.

Makeup Revolution Death by Chocolate Palette, $15, Ulta

As incredible as the Re-Loaded Palette is as a Heat alternative, it's certainly not the first time the brand has created a palette that mirrors another high-end product.

The brand's Death by Chocolate Palette is comparable to Too Faced's Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow set in its color scheme, product name, and palette design. So, it seems MUR really has a knack for creating highly-coveted makeup products for much less.

There are even MUR products outside of eyeshadow that favor top-rated makeup from other brands. The drugstore favorite's inventory includes liquid highlighter drops reminiscent of Cover FX's Illuminating Enhancer Drops and a banana baking powder that's spot on for Ben Nye's Luxury Banana Powder. If that's not enough, the brand's Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade palette even caused Kat Von D to call Makeup Revolution out for copying her Shade & Light Palette to a tee.

Whether the brand catches heat for it or not, Makeup Revolution seems to be all in favor for creating worthy dupes that are cheap AF. The Re-Loaded Iconic Fever Palette is just another amazing alternative joining the long list of MUR collections that imitate products the beauty industry has come to know and love.

It may be borderline ripping off other brands, but there's no beating under $10 makeup that slays just as much as the expensive stuff.
