The Gift Tristan Thompson Sent Khloé After Her Dog Died Couldn’t Be More Perfect

Losing a pet is hard, but sometimes small gestures can help ease the pain. Khloé Kardashian's dog died, and Tristan Thompson sent her the sweetest flower arrangement in an effort to cheer her up. Of course, in true Kardashian fashion (as Thompson has clearly learned), these weren't just any ol' flowers. The arrangement Thompson sent was in the shape of a giant paw, and it was, in a word, paw-dorable. (Sorry, couldn't help it.)

On Jan. 30, the 33-year-old mom-to-be shared the sad news about the passing of her black Labrador, Gabbana, with her Instagram followers. Kardashian posted several photos of herself with her pup, and captioned the pics with a touching tribute.

“Last night my sweet Gabbana passed away," Kardashian wrote. "She was more than a pet. She was my first child, my companion and my friend. She was incredible! She made sure I was never lonely even during lonely times. The house will never be the same. I never thought I would be this devastated over [losing] a dog but 14 years, is a long time together. She filled a significant role in my life and I’m forever grateful. I love you Goober!! I’ll remember you always!”

In a seriously "aww"-worthy gesture, Thompson — Kardashian's 26-year-old beau — sent his lady an incredibly extravagant flower arrangement in the shape of a paw. The arrangement was primarily composed of multiple bouquets of off-white roses, in addition to an array of dark purple roses for filling out the shape.

Kardashian posted a picture of the flowers on Instagram, and thanked Thompson in the caption with a sweet message. "Thank you baby for being so thoughtful!," she wrote. "This gorgeous arrangement brightened up my day! You are the sweetest my love!"

I kind of wish Kardashian had taken a photo of the arrangement with another object for scale, because that thing looks huge. There's got to be at least 100 of the off-white roses (but probably more), and another 30 (minimum) of the dark purple ones. It's too bad that flowers don't last forever, because this would be a really cool bouquet to keep around.

If this paw-shaped flower arrangement is any indication, Thompson appears to be fitting into the Kardashian-Jenner family just fine. After the birth of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby girl, Chicago, Kardashian sent the new parents an extravagant arrangement to congratulate the couple, according to People. Kim posted a photo of the flowers to her Instagram, and the arrangement — which spelled out Chicago's shortened nickname, "Chi" — was so massive that Kim couldn't even fit the whole thing into the frame.

On Jan. 16, Kylie Jenner sent Kim and West an impressively extravagant arrangement, as well. Just like the floral sculpture Kardashian sent, Jenner's arrangement was primarily composed of off-white and blush-colored roses — but, instead of standing letters (or in Thompson's case, a giant paw), this one took the shape of a giant heart. Kim posted a photo of the flowers via her Instagram story, thanking Jenner in a caption. From the looks of it, there had to be at least 100 off-white roses in there.

Considering all of the flowers the Kardashian-Jenners have sent each other over the last few weeks alone, it wouldn't be a bad idea for the family to get into the flower business. The arrangement that Thompson sent to Kardashian after the death of her dog may just be the most creative one yet — but with at least one (maybe two, if we ever get confirmation that Kylie Jenner is pregnant) new Kardashian-Jenner babies on the way, there's no telling what the family's florist will come up with next.
