Whenever a couple (famous or not) breaks up, all eyes are on their next social media moves. After getting engaged during Season 21 of The Bachelor Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi announced the end of their relationship on Friday, August 25 in a joint statement that they released to the press. Following the news of the breakup, Vanessa also took to Instagram and shared that she is leaning on friends after her split from Nick.

There's still no word on the specifics of the breakup or what Vanessa's plan is considering she was spending a lot of time in Los Angeles to be with Nick even though she's from Canada, but she has put up her first post-engagement Instagram. Vanessa definitely took the mature root with this one. She posted a photo with her face hidden, her hair thrown up in a bun, and is shown literally leaning on a friend's shoulder for support while they both sit on a bench.

She captioned the post, "It's okay to feel broken. It's okay to cry. It's okay to lean on a friend. In the end, it will always be okay."

Vanessa makes it clear that she is still processing the end of her engagement. She has no issue admitting that she is sad about it, and she has reached out to her friends for support during a tough time.

She's keeping it real instead of pretending that everything is alright or even spewing negativity. The breakup is fresh, and she is just like anyone else in a similar situation. Plus, there has to be some additional stress and pressure from the relationship being super public.

Nick has revealed that he, too, is in a sad place after the split and that he is also taking time to lean on his loved ones for support. Nick told Us Weekly, "I'm lucky enough to have friends outside of L.A. I’m heading back to Chicago this weekend, which I think will be good for me."

"I still love her very much. I'm not afraid to say that," he admitted. "My friends, my family and Vanessa and I are still very much each other’s support system. We’re trying to do that and it’s a challenge at times, but we still realize that we’re there for each other."

This has to be one of the most mature, and even loving, breakups in Bachelor franchise history.
