Here’s What Eileen’s Been Up To Since Ditching ‘RHOBH’

Like grains of sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. Nothing gold can stay, and that includes Eileen Davidson on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Eileen announced shortly after the Season 7 finale that she wouldn’t be returning to the show. A nation mourned, and now that Season 8 of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills is about to start on Dec. 19, it's time to talk about what Eileen Davidson is doing after RHOBH.

Eileen was frequently the voice of reason in her later years of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, letting the others fight their issues out around her. But after three seasons, she opted to call it a day. In a statement to Bravo, Eileen said, "After a lot of careful thought, I've decided because of my crazy schedules at The Young And The Restless, as well as Days Of Our Lives, it's best for me and my family if I step away from being a Housewife for now. But you never know, I might be popping in from time to time just to see what the ladies are up to! Thanks for your love and support guys!" Ugh, Eileen, you are quitting your time as a Housewife because of your day job? How rude!

And right now, Eileen is doing exactly what she said she would be doing: acting. Balancing two different shows can't be an easy feat. The production schedule for soap operas is tough as it is (you try making five scripted shows a week, every week), so to have two on your plate means you have to be a consummate professional or a workaholic. Or perhaps both.

Eileen has also been spending a lot of time with her family, documenting their holidays and achievements, like her nephew, who has a recurring role on ABC's The Middle.

Eileen has also been donating her own time to help the less fortunate, as her Instagram shows.

And there have been some #TBTs for good measure on her social, too:

Eileen's life looks pretty great right now, no? But luckily for fans, she didn’t shut the door on coming into say hello on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills even as it continues without her. On Twitter, she explained to fans that it wasn’t totally over:

Besides the fans missing Eileen, the other members of the cast said they would miss her, too. Erika Girardi told Bravo, "I know that a lot of people are gonna miss Eileen. Eileen is one of the most understanding, kind, and giving human beings I've ever met — and what you see on TV is what you get. She's lovely." Erika and Eileen were tight on the show, too — remember when Eileen gave Erika a role on her soap for Erika's birthday? Erika has mastered the art of nonchalance, so it was fun and refreshing to see her get so excited (and a little nervous) about acting with Eileen.

If you ask me, Eileen has the best of both worlds right now in terms of being a cast member on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. You know that Andy Cohen would be more than happy to have Eileen moonlight on a few episodes. Hey, Housewives — you going on a trip? Let me come, too! In fact, it's like Eileen is just adding another acting job to her resume — Days Of Our Lives, The Young and The Restless, Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. It's all the perks of being a reality star and the perks of being an actor, all rolled into one. And it's nice that Eileen didn't shut the door on her Bravo friends. You can leave the Housewives family, but you can never fully walk way.
