You'll Love Reformation's New Denim Collection

by Melanie Richtman

Reformation is known for not only having super cool clothes, but also for actively helping the environment. Which is why they decided to get into the denim business, because it turns out, jeans are the worst for the environment. Reformation's jean collection hit shelves on Feb. 9, both in stores and online.

According to a press release, Reformation decided to create a jean collection for two reasons: They like making women look good and they like "saving the world." Throw in the fact that jeans end up using 2,800 gallons in their lifetime, and Reformation felt compelled to make a better, more eco friendly product.

The result is Reformation Jeans, which are only supposed to use 230 gallons of water in their lifetime, which is insanely less than most jeans on the market. Reformation's jean collection includes two pairs of pants — a high rise cigarette pant and a mid rise cropped flare — two jean jackets, and a jean skirt.

Reformation's jeans are made from a rigid, yet flattering, denim that almost seems vintage, and they're in the process of making a stretchy pair, in addition to several other styles.

It's nice to see a brand focusing on creating eco friendly products that are actually cute and practical.

Collection retails for $98 to $128, which isn't too bad, especially when you consider the favor you're doing for the environment.

You can shop Reformation's jean collection on thereformation.com and in stores starting Feb. 9.
