Lee Needs To Go Home On 'The Bachelorette'

Paul Hebert/ABC

Guys, I’m serious. I’m sick of these Lee shenanigans. I know they’ve only been happening for like, two episodes, but I’m over it. He’s baiting the other contestants, he’s running his mouth, and he has a bad attitude. Lee is the villain of this season of The Bachelorette, and he’s so textbook that it makes me think that he’s watched every season of the show so far. When does Lee go home on The Bachelorette? Hopefully, the two-on-one date with Kenny will be his very last.

Lee’s main nemesis on Monday was professional wrestler Kenny, and these two got in an argument in the recent episode because… I don’t even know. Because Lee wants to stir up trouble. Or, as he called it, "Kenny's a big old meathead and I wanted to break him down." Classy. Right after the season started, Lee’s Twitter profile caught fan attention for some pretty negative reasons. Outlets like Huffington Post claimed that on his Twitter profile was a slew of allegedly racist and misogynistic tweets. (When Bustle reached out about these alleged tweets, ABC and Warner Bros. declined to comment. A rep for Lee could not be reached. His Twitter has since been made private.)

Lee says he likes to get under people’s skin, and right now, that person is Kenny. Dean, another contestant, called out Lee for his alleged “intolerance,” earlier in the episode — so it's not just Kenny that doesn't like him. Lee is playing both sides against the middle between Rachel and Kenny, telling Rachel that Kenny is “aggressive” and attacking him, and it’s all just too much. Since Kenny and Lee have drama, it unfortuantely makes them the perfect match for a two-on-one date (Kenny deserves better though), and that’s exactly when Lee should go home.

I can’t take people who say they like to push other people’s buttons. It means that they like to “be honest” and be mean without wanting to suffer repercussions for it. Lee is definitely not on The Bachelorette for the right reasons — he’s a singer who probably wants a platform, though I don’t know how he’ll gain followers with this — and he’s the one that should go. Kenny at least seems like he likes Rachel. Lee’s bad attitude is making the show a drag, and this two-on-one date with Rachel needs to be his last.
