It's official: The Bachelorette is running out of roses. Soon, fans will know which lucky guy Rachel picked, and Bach Nation will jet off to Paradise. Of course, the next phase of this glorious rotating cycle puts a male suitor in the hot seat. So when does The Bachelor 2018 premiere?

According to Moviefone, The Bachelor begins taping in September. As for its air date, fans know that most seasons of The Bachelor premiere on the first Monday in January.

After the drama, heartbreak, and excitement on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette, the people of Bachelor Nation also need to know who will take on the rose-bearing responsibility in the next season of The Bachelor and when they'll get to watch him be at center of the process. Unfortunately, fans may have to wait a bit longer, because apparently, the new Bachelor hasn't even been chosen yet.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chris Harrison shut down the speculation that a new Bachelor will be announced after the Aug. 7 finale of The Bachelorette. "Dean, Peter, Bryan, Eric. There's four great candidates right there," Harrison said. "They'd all be great Bachelors, they would. I can't poke a hole in any of them, but in all seriousness, we've not picked a Bachelor. So, I can tell you, no Bachelor is chosen." Harrison continued to say that all announcements for the new Bachelor will be on hold until Bachelor In Paradise wraps its upcoming season, which premieres Aug. 14.

While Harrison won't speculate over potential Bachelor choices, it doesn’t mean the fans can’t do the work for him. Peter may be a fan favorite, but Dean is still in the running. Since Dean will also be on Bachelor In Paradise, he could still stand a chance to be ABC’s next pick. Nick Viall was cast as Season 21's The Bachelor after appearing on two seasons of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.

Could Dean follow in Nick's footsteps? Whoever the chosen one is, it's likely they'll be back on TV early next year.
