Matte Pat McGrath Lipsticks Will Soon Be Upon Us & We're Not Worthy

Another thrilling Pat McGrath lipstick innovation —lipnovation, maybe?— is on the horizon. The brand has dropped game-changing products ever since the celeb makeup artist confirmed she would be doing an eponymous line. From the gold pigments to the Skin Fetish to the Dark Star Collections to her version of Lip Kits, McGrath's brand keeps beauty junkies fully intrigued. Next up from McGrath is LUST: MatteTrance. What is it?

Well, according to the delish Insta caption accompanying the delightfully eerie video clip, LUST: MatteTrance is a "lethally luxurious and instantly iconic" new lipstick. We're not worthy.

You know, those are big words. Huge.

But coming from anyone else, it would feel like boastful beauty braggadocio. Coming from McGrath, it's exactly what we expect. She doesn't just deliver products; she delivers innovation and serious glamour that is normally reserved for the runway to beauty obsessives IRL.

LUST: MatteTrance comes in nine shades and will arrive on Friday, Jul. 14. You can sign up for email alerts via McGrath's site so you can be notified when LUST: MatteTrance makes its debut.

There are individual lippies, sold as $38 singles; trios sold for $95; and the nine-shade bundle, which will set you back by $275.

The tube is also black and gold, with a pair of gleaming, gilded lips factored into the casing.

All other mattes, liquid, stick or otherwise, should be shaking in their tubes, since Pat McGrath's take on this trend is nothing less than epic and wearable. As noted on the product description posted at the brand's site, you can "flaunt your fixations orally in this luxurious, richly pigmented formulation that cloaks lips in a lightweight veil of rich color. Like a good lover, this lipstick lays down a high impact with a strong finish."

Knees, meet weak!

Hello, lovers!

Check out the depth of color on fair skin tones...

... and on medium skin tones...

... and on dark skin tones. The collection features a healthy mix of nudes, neutrals, reds, and purples. How can you choose just one?! You get all the drama, but the shades and texture is wearable, along with being maj glam.

I love how the video mixes the past with a futuristic vibe.

Here was the prior tease.

This is what's to come. Pat McGrath crushes it. Every time, every product.
