Jade & Tanner's Wedding Played 'Bach' Matchmaker

There’s a big secret on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor — he’s already slept with one of the contestants as of the first rose ceremony. Maybe you’re thinking, “Damn, that guy moves fast,” but no, it didn’t happen on the show. Rather, Liz and Nick hooked up at Jade and Tanner’s wedding. You see Liz is Jade’s best friend and was her maid of honor at Jade's wedding, which Nick was a guest at. To get a proper timeline on all of this, it's important to know when Bachelor stars Jade and Tanner got married.

Jade and Tanner met on Bachelor In Paradise 2, and they were the couple who shacked up fast in the beginning and watched all of the drama unfold around them while they sat in sun chairs sipping margaritas. If there is any way to be on Bachelor In Paradise, it’s that. Anyway, Tanner proposed at the end of the show (the summer of 2015, to be exact), and Jade accepted. According to People, Jade and Tanner got married on January 24, 2015 at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in California. There were 150 guests, give or take, in attendance, and their wedding was aired as a Bachelor special a few weeks later on ABC (on Valentine's Day, no less).

Nick's season of The Bachelor started filming shortly after Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 aired, in September of 2016, putting about eight months in between Liz and Nick's first and second encounters. Meeting at a wedding of two of Bachelor Nation's best could bode well for Nick and Liz's future on The Bachelor.

Jade and Tanner are definitely one of my favorite Bachelor couples, mostly because they seem so normal, and also because they’re so media savvy. These two make a lot of money from social media by working with certain brands (to the tune of millions of bucks), and you can’t hate them for it. I’ve enjoyed watching the evolution of their relationship (they’re currently building a house in Kansas, dubbed “Janner Manor”), and I hope they remain happy. It’s not easy to marry someone after six weeks (that just gave me the heebie jeebies), but Jade and Tanner seem to be the real deal. Maybe Liz and Nick will be the real deal, too. We’ll have to wait and see.
