Bachelor Nick Viall has a lot of women to get to know on his season, and viewers are along for the ride. While the show is still in pretty early stages and there are many bachelorettes still in the game, fans have already started to notice a few stand-out contestants, like Kristina Schulman. So, where is The Bachelor's Kristina from?

According to Kristina's ABC bio, the 24-year-old dental hygienist is from Lexington, Kentucky. And, the Kentucky native is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky, also located in Lexington. The hometown girl doesn't shy away from her Lexington roots or University of Kentucky pride, especially on social media. Kristina's Instagram account boasts pictures from the Kentucky Derby and photos of Kristina in her school colors.

The girl who isn't shy about hometown pride also isn't shy about sharing about her family. During The Bachelor countdown special, Kristina revealed that she's originally from Russia and grew up in an orphanage before being adopted and moved to America. In her ABC bio, when asked who she admired most and why, she responded: "My parents. It takes courage to open your heart and home to four orphans and give them a life otherwise unobtainable."

She also answered the "If you could be someone else for just one day, who would it be and why?" question with this response, "My biological mother. I'd like to know what she was going through when I was young and if choosing alcohol over kids was worth it."

Kristina's adoption story seems to be a big part of who she is. And, so does her home of Lexington. I hope to see a hometown date in Kristina and Nick's future because I think it would help us get to know Kristina and the family she loves so much even more.
