Frankie's Killer Is Finally Revealed On 'Scandal'

We may only be a few episodes into Scandal Season 6, but so far, it has to be one of the craziest. In the wake of Frankie Vargas' getting shot on election night, Olivia accused Cyrus of being behind his killing, and now, we know that it was so much more complicated than that. On Thursday night's new episode, everything that happened leading up to Frankie's murder and beyond was exposed, and it's even more unexpected than I could have imagined. Who killed Frankie was finally revealed, and while Cyrus didn't pull the trigger, he was technically involved — and the person was at fault used it as an opportunity to bury Cyrus, too.

As it turns out, Cyrus had a meeting with his ex, Tom, where he confessed that he wanted to be the president, not the vice president, which is what he was running for. Tom took that as a sign that he needed to get rid of Frankie, and he's the one who took him out while he stood on stage that night. When Cyrus found out what Tom had done, he was horrified and broke his affair with him off right away.

But Tom didn't take that too well, and what happened next led to Cyrus being taken away in handcuffs.

Tom went to the police and turned himself in, confessing to Frankie's murder... under the direct order of Cyrus. When Tom said he wanted to sentence Cyrus to "a fate worse than death," he definitely wasn't kidding! Of course, that's not the truth, since Cyrus didn't intend for Tom to kill Frankie. Before the end of the episode, the former White House Chief of Staff was being read his rights by David Rosen, and Olivia was letting Mellie know that she will most likely become the next president of the United States.

After an episode this eventful, I can't imagine how the rest of the season is going to measure up. But this is Scandal, and it always does. I'm excited to see where this takes Mellie... and if Cyrus is ever brought to justice. I have a feeling it won't be this easy to take him down, though.
