Here it goes again: The waiting game, as in waiting for Kylie Jenner's rumored pregnancy announcement. Literature fans might liken this to Samuel Beckett's play, Waiting for Godot, which — spoiler alert — begins and ends with two men waiting for "Godot." Everyone was disappointed when Day 25 of the 2017 Kardashian Christmas card didn't include a pregnancy reveal from Jenner, but just as in Beckett's play, nobody's willing to give up. So the new question is: Will Jenner announce her pregnancy on New Year's? A lot of people believe she will, but then again, a lot of people thought that Jenner would confirm her rumored pregnancy on Christmas.

It's taken over three months since rumors of Jenner's pregnancy ignited in late September, and even though they're still rumors, those who keep up with the Kardashians/Jenners seem pretty certain that the youngest daughter of Kris and Caitlyn Jenner is indeed expecting a child. (When the rumors began, Jenner's rep could not be reached by Bustle for comment.) The clues are everywhere, even in Jenner's absence from the family's famous Christmas card photos. Cue the X-Files theme song, because the truth is out there.

The truth may finally come out on New Year's Day, too, as that would make sense given what the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan has going on at the moment. Namely, two other exciting pregnancies in the family.

That's right, Kylie's older sisters Khloé and Kim Kardashian are expecting babies. Kim has spoken publicly about having a baby via a surrogate mother since September. Around the same time that Kim announced the addition to the Kardashian-West family, the rumors that both Khloé and Kylie are also expecting surfaced. Khloé confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram on Dec. 20, so it would make sense that Kylie didn't want to confirm hers right after. On Christmas, Khloé got to flaunt her baby bump in a sparkly tasseled jumpsuit — as one does — and it seems likely now that Kylie might do the same this New Year's. Maybe when you're a Kardashian, only one baby bump gets to be the star of the holiday, which could mean that Kylie is next.

Considering that Kylie's been MIA from quintessential Kardashian holiday festivities — like running through Toys "R" Us in Santa hats, for example — fans suspect that she's hiding something. Even though Lip Kit lovers didn't get the Christmas card announcement they'd hoped for, many of them are still holding out for a New Year's pregnancy confirmation.

Everyone wants to know if Kylie's pregnant or not, but some suspect that the story is even more complicated than the public even imagines. Perhaps, for instance, New Year's could reveal that Kylie has already had a baby.

While it might seem both weird and overly invasive for people to speculate about Kylie's pregnancy status so heavily, it also isn't completely surprising. The Kardashians (and Jenners) have risen to fame by over-sharing details about their lives. Kim revealed her pregnancy with her first child, North West, on an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, and Kourtney Kardashian even gave birth on camera.

If 2016 was the year for the youngest Jenner to "realize things," then basically everyone hopes that 2018 will be the year for her to reveal things.

Now that Kim and Khloé have confirmed their pregnancies, it seems likely the the new year could come with an announcement of a new life as well. Fans hope so, at least. Even if Christmas 2017 was a disappointment for Kardashian/Jenner fans, Kylie may finally confirm that she and Travis Scott are expecting a child in the new year, just like her two older sisters. So fear not, Kylie can't keep people waiting forever... Or can she?
