Get Ready For '50 Shades Darker' On Spotify

Universal Pictures

Fifty Shades Darker's theatrical release is just within reach, which means that there's only a handful of days separating you from the official Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. Only two tracks have been released off the album so far — ZAYN and Taylor Swift's "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" and Halsey's "Not Afraid Anymore" — which leaves 17 tracks still mysteriously kept under wraps, including songs from Sia, Tove Lo, and a collaboration from Nick Jonas and Nicki Minaj. But, once the soundtrack is released, the question is, will the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack be on Spotify?

The Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack is currently available to stream on Spotify, which means all signs point to Fifty Shades Darker being available to stream on the app after its Feb. 10 release. However, a few songs exclusive to the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack are not. There is one Rolling Stones song on the soundtrack and two exclusive Beyoncé remixes, "Haunted" and "Crazy In Love," that are only available with purchase of the album, and it's unclear whether or not any songs off the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack might also be album-only. Looking at the Darker track list, it looks like most songs, while new and exclusive to the album, are not special remixes or re-mastered tracks, which means the odds are good that the soundtrack will be on Spotify in its entirety.

"I Don't Wanna Live Forever" and "Not Afraid Anymore," the first two singles off the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, are already available to stream on Spotify. This also bodes well for the rest of the album, especially considering Swift's decision to pull her solo music from the streaming app entirely. If Swift is willing to have a song on Spotify, then I think the other artists featured on the soundtrack will be too.

I'd expect the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack to be up on Spotify on or soon after its official release on Feb. 10 (when the soundtrack will be available for purchase in stores and on iTunes). In the meantime, please feel free to listen to "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" on repeat. I know I will.
