Are Nick & Vanessa Done With Reality TV?

Maybe don’t hold your breath for a Vanessa Grimaldi and Nick Viall spinoff, my fellow Bachelor Nation resident. Last Friday, the Bachelor couple told Entertainment Tonight that Dancing With the Stars is the final chapter in the book that is their reality television story. Yep, Viall and Grimaldi say their reality TV days are over. And here I was certain they’d follow in Emily and Haley Ferguson’s footsteps. (By that I mean work for David Hasselhoff, duh.)

At last week's Race to Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles, both Viall and Grimaldi told ET that they will not be doing any other unscripted programs. Grimaldi explained that she will be “focusing on other things in the near future,” and Viall said he has “zero plans to do reality TV.”

“I’m certainly done with anything Bachelor-related,” the recently eliminated DWTS contestant added, “but I'm very thankful for my time."

Assuming they aren’t pulling our legs, I suppose that means Viall and Grimaldi won't be dropping by the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise. And I reckon we should rule out a Viall and Grimaldi Freeform series, eh? And I guess this means Viall and Grimaldi aren’t gearing up to appear on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Celebrity Big Brother, or Marriage Bootcamp? Huh. Well, then.

Of course, they could always change their minds somewhere down the line, but for the time being, it seems like — and I can't believe I'm saying this — the Viall era is a thing of the past.

It took two seasons of The Bachelorette, one season of Bachelor in Paradise, one season of The Bachelor, and one season of Dancing With the Stars, but it has finally happened: dude has apparently had his fill of being on reality television. What's next? Are the animals on BiP going to stop consoling contestants?
