If I Can't Date Tom, I'm Glad It's Elizabeth Olsen

by Maggie Malach

Avengers fans everywhere felt pangs of heartbreak when reports suggested Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are dating. While there's no doubt that they are total couple goals, Hiddleston's fans went through a range of emotions when they heard the news. Although every woman with a crush on the actor would love to date him, I'm okay with saying that if it can't be me, I'm glad it's Olsen.

Let's face it: Olsen is a rising star, with serious indie credits and blockbusters to her name. She's no doubt talented, as her work in Martha Marcy May Marlene showed us early on. As she continues to take on bigger and more impressive projects, she'll no doubt continue to prove her leading lady-status to audiences. She even play the lead in an off-Broadway run of Romeo and Juliet .

Off-screen, Olsen is reportedly a pretty established cook and foodie, which makes her all the cooler. In fact, she even made an appearance on On The Table to cook wild boar ragu with Eric Ripert. You know, just a day in the life. Even better, she managed to hold a witty conversation with the chef as they prepped the food.

It doesn't hurt that she's totally hilarious. Hiddleston is always cracking up his fans, so I can't picture him being endgame with anyone who isn't funny. If you're not familiar with Olsen's sense of humor, here's a nice montage of her being charming and all-around delightful.

Fashion runs in the family, given Olsen's famous older sisters, but she totally owns street style. From oxfords to hats to the perfect coats, the actress never fails to look polished and chic, even when she's just browsing at Whole Foods.

It other words, she's talented, charismatic and super funny, just like Hiddleston. No matter how devoted a fan you are of his, there's no denying that the two are so cute together. I imagine that they balance each other out well, while highlighting their significant other's best qualities. Sure, I'd love to date Hiddleston, but if it can't be me, I'll totally ship him and Olsen.
