You'll Need A Lot Of Time To Listen To 'Dead Petz'

by Lindsay Mannering

It was one heck of a night for the kids over on MTV's Video Music Awards. First, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift ended their "feud," then Justin Bieber broke down in tears on stage, then Kanye West announced his candidacy for president, and then, our fearless host announced at the very bitter end of the show, that her new album is available for free, right now. Barring further website issues, you can download the album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz at your leisure, but before you get all click happy, you'll wanna know how many songs are on Miley's new album. Because saddle up your rainbow and glitter unicorns and grab some brownies (wink!): it's gonna be a long ride.

The album, which is available on SoundCloud, includes a whopping 23 tracks. Most albums have, you know, 12 songs, but then again, there's nothing normal about Dead Petz. One look at the list of tunes and you'll see that these titles are pretty out there. And by out there, I mean "Milky Milky Milk" and "Something About Space Dude." And that's just scratching the surface! There are 21 more songs where those came from with whacked-out names.

And yes, the title of the album is, in fact, reflected in the records. Cyrus, who's been vocal about her love of her pets, includes tracks that reference her deceased, fury loved ones. You may think the song "Pablow the Blowfish" is some millennial metaphor, but truly, Cyrus had a pet blowfish named Pablow who died of unknown causes in February. The singer was so torn up about it, she even got a tattoo of good old Pabby Ps on her arm.

With that ode to a dead fish and 22 other songs to listen to, you better get cracking:
