Rita Ora Channels A Mermaid
Halloween has yet to arrive, but some celebs are already getting in the spirit of dress-up. Rita Ora wore a gold gown to the Sexy Fish restaurant in London on Thursday night, and the starlet looked just like a mermaid IRL. Dressing like your favorite animal/mythical creature seems to be trending in celebrity land these days. Ariana Grande has been wearing cat ears for as long as I can remember, Miley Cyrus whipped out bunny ears for her latest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and now Ora is getting in touch with her aquatic side.
The singer's mermaid-inspired dress was adorned in gorgeous coppery gold sequins that sparkled magnificently from every angle. The strapless fitted silhouette complete with loads of extra fabric at the bottom was reminiscent of the shiny tail of a real-life mermaid — you know, if mermaids were actually real.
The 24-year-old's glam squad definitely opted for the mermaid thing with her hair and makeup too. Ora's long platinum blonde locks were styled in a center-parted sleek blowout, her lids were dressed in shimmery shadow and she flaunted a nude lip.
The launch of a fish restaurant is pretty much the only occasion where dressing like a mermaid is actually appropriate.
