Drink Vodka? You Must Vote Democrat

If you want to know how someone votes, no need to ask — just take a look at what they're drinking. Your choice of alcoholic beverage shows which party you're most likely to vote for, and whether or not you're likely to make the trip to the polling station to begin with, according to a study conducted by Alexandria-based Republican consulting firm National Media Research Planning and Placement.

The research shows Democrats are more likely to prefer high quality vodkas like Grey Goose and Absolut, while Republicans choose to sip Jim Beam, Canadian Club, and Crown Royal whiskey. Did you toast the New Year with a glass of bubbly? Chances are you vote Democrat.

Rum seems to be the most bipartisan drink, with Bacardi and Captain Morgan falling right in the middle of the political spectrum. Overall, wine-drinkers are more likely to vote than the mostly young things who enjoy shots of Jagermeister or Don Julio. But the wine you pick also says something — Republicans are more likely to pick out a bottle of Kendall-Jackson, while Democrats might opt for something like Charles Shaw.
