Young Jeezy Arrested On Disturbing Charges

by Lia Beck

Jay Jenkins, a.k.a. Young Jeezy was arrested last week on charges including battery, false imprisonment, and terroristic threats. He's now out on bond. The rapper turned himself in on Jan. 3 after a grand jury warrant was released in reference to a violent altercation that took place between Jenkins and his 17-year-old son, Jadarius, in September 2012.

TMZ reports that according to court documents,

Jeezy got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and he threw his son into the glass shower door, causing the son to hit his head. Then Jeezy allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him.

A police report shows that Jadarius told police his father said, ""I will kill you. I will put a bullet in your head right now. If I could get away with it, I would kill you."

The disturbing situation gets further complicated because sources close to Jenkins have come forward saying that a Sept. 2012 fight did occur, but never actually turned violent. Sources say that Jenkins was upset with his son and said something more along the lines of "I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it."

Furthermore, TMZ reports that Jenkins' ex and mother of Jadarius, Tenesha Dykes, could be behind the discrepancies in the stories. Dykes supposedly wants to turn Jadarius against his father and pocket more of Jenkins' money.

Jenkins is currently out on $45,000 bond and will appear in court Jan. 29 for a plea and arraignment hearing. We certainly hope justice is served.
