The Next Kate Moss?

by Tori Telfer

She's only 5' 5" tall, but she's got the most famous last name in the fashion industry. Lottie Moss turned 16 on January 9, and her present (of sorts) was a contract with Storm Models — the same agency that represents her iconic half-sister Kate, along with other famous, flawless faces like Cara Delevingne, Lily Cole, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson, and Cindy Crawford.

The fashion world has basically been eyeing Lottie since she was 13, when she appeared in Vogue, blushing from the backdrop of her big sister's wedding to Jamie Hince. Remember the gaggle of blushing young English roses, dressed in cream, that accompanied Kate down the aisle? One of them was Lottie, all porcelain complexion and fantastic bone structure. The widely distributed photos, with her face glimmering besides Kate's, caused plenty of speculation that Lottie would be the next great thing in the modeling world.

And speculation, in this case, has inched closer to reality. Lottie's official model profile is up on the Storm Models website —"hair: blonde light, eyes: blue." In her brief portfolio, she looks like she could be related to an Olsen twin, too, with that wispy blonde hair, big eyes, and defined cheekbones. Her pouty Cupid's bow, though, is unmistakably a Moss'.

It doesn't need to be said that Lottie has some big shoes to fill (Kate's are a U.S. size 9, if you must know). But we see great things in Lottie's future; she seems like a natural fit for a designer like Marc Jacobs, who favors that sort of slight, schoolgirl-gone-eccentric beauty. Here's betting she'll be the new face of Daisy (and beyond) within the next five years.
