Someone Started a Kanye Religion, & It's Not Kanye

If you've ever found yourself interested in worshipping Kanye West as your own personal God, good news: Someone has found a way for you to do exactly that. According to a new article on Vice's Noisey blog, a group has actually started a Kanye West religion called Yeezianity, which is literally exactly what it sounds like — a religion based on worshipping rapper Kanye West.

Remember that one guy who started a Bitcoin based off of Kanye West called Coinye? Yeah — this is so much better than that.

Some important questions to ask now: What exactly does Yeezianity stand for? According to its website, the group apparently believes that "the one who calls himself Yeezus is a divine being who has been sent by God to usher in a New Age of humanity." SERIOUSLY. THIS IS A THING.

Most importantly, their five pillars:

1. All things created must be for the good of all2. No human being’s right to express themselves must ever be repressed3. Money is unnecessary except as a means of exchange4. Man possesses the power to create everything he wants and needs5. All human suffering exists to stimulate the creative powers of Man

Also, their mission statement is, seriously, "THE BEST CHURCH OF ALL TIME!!!!!"

So, you know, keep in mind that this is a thing that exists, I guess. There's no word on what West himself thinks of the religion (or if he's a member who hosts all of their church potlucks or something), but, according to the man who actually started it, it's only a month old, so that could change. Positive thinking, you know.
