Daniel Day-Lewis' Son Is About To Take Over 2016

by Michelle Lulic

Who could deny Daniel Day-Lewis' talent as an actor? With three Oscars in the bag, it's basically a well-known fact that that man has talent. However, it appears as if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! This time around, the Day-Lewis family is gearing up to take over the music industry. OK, not exactly, but his son Gabriel Day-Lewis sure has the talent to do so. How do I know that? And what better way to break in than by Gabriel Day-Lewis released a cover of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself," a flawless cover of the hit song that will convert you into a fan. With his very own spin on Bieber's song, and a struggling rap career in his past, this career move is genius for Gabriel. And it's about time that this 20-year-old proves he actually has the musical abilities to go with his blossoming modeling career.

However, this isn't the first time in 2015 that the young Day-Lewis tried to breakout with his own artistic endeavors. In fact, while this "Love Yourself" cover may gain buzz around his career, he released his own single titled "Ink In My Veins" just a few short months ago. And, if I'm being completely honest, his sound does seem to resemble the sounds you hear in most of Justin Bieber's music. It's no wonder that his Bieber cover sounds so good! Seriously, you need to listen to this cover.

Ah-mazing. And that's not the extent of the success he's had in 2015 so far. In fact, he's actually already made a name for himself traversing the ins-and-outs of the modeling industry in ways that don't include his father's show biz connection (although, I'm sure that does help). Between being signed with IMG Models and attending Paris Fashion Week with Julianne Moore on his arm, his good looks and tattoos also come with a certain level of class. Like his father, Gabriel Day-Lewis is all about getting into the prestigious side of the industry. Seriously, he already hangs out with the "Chanel Squad:"

So, could he be the Justin Bieber of 2016? Or is this kid in a league all his own? Honestly, with his unique (yet familiar) sound now out in the open, I wouldn't be surprised either way! However, I do have a feeling that, no matter what, we should expect to see Gabriel around a whole lot more.

...You're welcome. Here's to 2016 being the year we finally get to know some of Hollywood's talented next generation.
