Sean and Catherine's Guest List Surprises

by Jessica Molinari

Bachelor fans rejoice: Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s wedding is only hours away! This is the first time ABC is showing a Bachelor wedding live, which guarantees plenty of the Bachelor drama we have grown to love. Stars of Reality reported the names of The Bachelor alum on the wedding guest list, and quite a few are surprising. Many of Bachelor Nation's favorites are prepping for the wedding as we speak, but there are a few who may be crying at home after getting surprisingly snubbed.

Lowe and Giudici announced their wedding party high school superlative-style on their Knot profile. One bridesmaid who may have, at one point, pictured herself as the bride in this wedding instead is former The Bachelor contestant Lesley Murphy, who finished fifth in Lowe’s season and became good friends with Catherine during the show. Murphy and Lowe seemed to be more buddy-buddy than romantically involved, so we're not shocked she remained friends with the couple.

Murphy isn’t the only former love interest of Lowe's who got an invite. Daniella McBride, who also competed for Lowe’s heart in Season 17, will be attending the wedding. McBride was sent home early on in week five, so it's no surprise she was able to put her romantic feelings aside to stay friends with the couple. As for the dudes of The Bachelor wedding, plenty of Lowe’s The Bachelorette: Season 8 buddies will attend the ceremony as well, including Indy driver and fan-favorite Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and Season 8 winner, Jef Holm.

Holm’s ex-fiancé, Emily Maynard, however, is one Bachelor Nation favorite who got the snub. Who else won't be attending? Lowe's Dancing With the Stars partner, Peta Murgatroyd. Should we blame those pesky rumors that Giudici was jealous of Murgatroyd during Lowe’s DWTS stint?

Of course, no The Bachelor event would be complete without Bachelor Nation’s surviving winning couples. Though I’m left wondering if Trista and Ryan Sutter have ever even met Lowe and Giudici, they will most definitely be in attendance along with Ashley and JP Rosenbaum, and Molly and Jason Mesnick. Rounding off the series’ small list of successful couples are a very pregnant DeAnna Pappas (she’s due Feb. 8) and her husband, Stephen Stagliano. The current bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis, will also be there, and we’re praying he can keep his controversial comments to himself for the night.

Although Lowe and Giudici have been counting down until the big day on Twitter, they have made it clear that they are most excited to head to "consummation station" on their wedding night. Though I'm thankful ABC didn't take the opportunity to capitalize on that live event, I'm sure there will be plenty of cringe-worthy mentions of it throughout the wedding and after-party come Sunday night.
