12 Valentine's Day Cards To Give To Your Ex

Valentine's Day is pitched as the perfect time to celebrate with someone you love, whether that's your significant other or girlfriends. People tend to focus on the relationship they're in now, which is fine if you're in a happy one, but as I've said a thousand times, it's so much better to be single than to be in a bad relationship. So if you're alone on Valentine's Day, you actually deserve a big pat on the back— you haven't settled for an unhealthy relationship just because you don't want to be alone.

Seriously, look at it as an opportunity to reflect on what you want and think about what you're holding out for in your next relationship. And part of that includes looking at past relationships and seeing how damned far you've come. Because so many people stay in bad relationships— we've all done it and it's nothing to beat yourself up over. Be proud of yourself for sticking up for what you want. Look on your old relationship and think "I can do better than that", The Last Five Years style. (Or, you know, something less dorky than my obsessive love of musical theatre.)

In fact, if you want you can make the whole holiday a big eff you to your ex. Here are all the Valentine's cards you can think about sending them:

1.

But I know you don't.

2.

Please fwd to them if so.

3.

Sorry not sorry.

4.

It all makes sense now.

5.

Hope you're well!

6.

Your loss!

7.

Jerk.

8.

But, no really.

9.

I don't want none of your time and (no).

10.

Where was the "Undo" button a year ago?

11.

Simple but significant.

12.

Who knew?!
