Jubilee's War Tweets Highlight Her Pre-'Bach' Time

During Week 3, fans of The Bachelor got to know Army soldier Jubilee Sharpe much better when she went on her first one-on-one date with Ben Higgins. She shared some personal information about her past in Haiti, where she is originally from, and it showed the audience she's not only brave on the battlefield. Speaking of, let's talk about her time in the Army, because you might be wondering where did The Bachelor's Jubilee serve when she was deployed? According to an interview with Yahoo! Style, Jubilee was in the U.S. Army for four and a half years, and she was deployed to the Helmand Province in Afghanistan for about a year.

And, her Army days have stayed with her — she used her Army duffel bags to pack for The Bachelor! "I didn’t have any time, so I was like, 'Well, I have these Army duffel bags,'" she told Yahoo! Style. "I slung them over my back. I can’t find anything; if I want one thing out of the bag I have to dump everything out."

The Bachelor is a tough gig, especially when the other women gang up on you, but Jubilee can definitely handle it. After all, she fought for our country. It was a hard and intense job, according to Jubilee's old Twitter account, which recorded some of her thoughts while she was deployed in the Middle East in 2011. (Jubilee confirmed that the account is indeed her old one in a post on Instagram.)

Check out some of her tweets below to find out more about Jubilee's deployment, and listen to Bustle's Bachelor podcast to find out what we think about her chances on the show.
