Bernie Sanders Has A Hotline & Yes, It Blings

by Amée LaTour

The New Hampshire primary on Tuesday could be a huge day for Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose underdog status has come into question after a near-upset in the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 1. Recent polls show Sanders with a comfortable lead over Sec. Hillary Clinton in the Granite State, but the Sanders campaign isn't taking anything for granted. They are going for a big win in New Hampshire, and the most crucial factor here is getting Sanders supporters out to the polls. There is a Bernie Sanders hotline people can call with any questions about voting on Tuesday — which is not only useful, but a hilarious reminder of the viral video featuring an edited "Bernie Sanders" dancing to Drake's "Hotline Bling" on The Ellen Show.

Need help finding your voting location? Not sure if you're eligible to vote in the primary? Any other problem getting in your way of voting? Call the Sanders hotline at (844) 502-5948 for assistance. When you call, the people staffing the call center may not hear that hotline bling right away. But don't worry — they will see that you called, and someone will call you back soon; if you don't answer, they will leave a message for you and let you know how to get back to them.

In the meantime, you can revisit not only the "Sanders' Hotline Bling" video, but the moment from Sanders' appearance on The Ellen Show that started it all: Sanders actually came out on stage busting a move to "Disco Inferno," which features the famous hook, "Burn, baby, burn!" (Or, of course, "Bern, baby, bern!") It turns out the senator has some moves.

The hotline isn't the only resource that Sanders' campaign provides for helping New Hampshire voters cast their ballot on Tuesday. His website features information on eligibility, precinct locations, and the specifics of voting in New Hampshire. One of the most important pieces of information for voters to know on Tuesday is that they can register at the polling location. In order to do so, you need proof of citizenship (i.e. passport or birth certificate), proof of age (i.e. birth certificate, a state or federal ID such as a driver's license, or a passport), and proof of address (a state or federal ID with your current address or a piece of mail).

If you need help voting on Tuesday, check out Sanders' website or call his people on your cellphone — after all, they know that if that hotline bling, it can only mean one thing.
