Matt Damon and Ben Affleck Get an Order from CBS

Be still our nineties loving hearts: Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are reuniting, only this time it's to bring the funnies to the small screen. CBS has announced that they've ordered a pilot for More Time with Family , the Tom Papa-fronted, multi-camera comedy executive produced by the boys from Boston. And while it might not be the on-camera love affair we've been waiting for — that will have to wait for the film Whitey that the duo are starring in alongside Casey Affleck — It's all very exciting, isn't it?

The production is a first for the duo, who previously worked together on this teeny, tiny, little-known indie feature that no one has ever really spoken about since its release, Good Will Hunting. You've probably never heard of it. And while the film was largely considered a drama, there are plenty of ahyucks in the dialogue and relationships at play — enough to keep us from being surprised on the announcement that the series is hunting for laughs. And Damon himself has had a nice little side racket going with his own guest starring appearances on some of comedy's best television series: including playing himself on Entourage and House of Lies as well as his turn as Liz Lemon's boyfriend Carol, "Doorman to the Sky" on 30 Rock.

The concept is broad enough that we're hard-pressed to formulate any sort of opinion on it, as it focuses on a husband and father (Papa) who's made the unenviable decision to transition careers in hopes of spending — wait for it — more time with his family. Considering the comedic chops those involved (Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa are also set to write and produce), it seems like only a matter of time before someone convinces the duo to make a guest appearance. And that's as perfect an excuse as any to rewatch the best thing Matt Damon's ever done:
