The Seahawks' Derrick Coleman Is The Man

Seattle Seahawks superfans Riley Kolavcik and her twin sister Erin got the surprise of their lives from Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman yesterday. The Kolavcik twins, who are hearing impaired and use hearing aids like Coleman, wrote a letter to their hero encouraging him to play well in the Super Bowl this Sunday. Their father, Jake Kovalcik, tweeted their adorable letter, and Coleman himself responded.

Coleman is the NFL's first legally deaf offensive player, according to Sports Illustrated, and he became known for his hearing impairment after recently appearing in a Duracell commercial. The Kolavciks found him to be particularly inspiring because they too play sports.

After their story went viral, the two cheery nine year olds were brought onto ABC's Good Morning America via Skype for what they thought was just a casual chat with the hosts. Instead, they got a surprise visit from their idol. The girls were overjoyed to see Coleman and even got to snap a few selfies. What more could a girl want?
