If you were a little tired of the same 'ol tux after tux, allow The Weeknd's 2016 Oscars red carpet appearance to give you life again. In my opinion, there are only two people at the Oscars that made a traditional tuxedo new again on Sunday night: 1. Pharrell (see: mankles) and 2. The Weeknd.
The handsome singer arrived at the 88th Academy Awards show dressed to kill. Although he kept things simple, he still looked so sleek wearing a dapper black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt, a black bow tie, and shiny black loafers. Although his ensemble was on point, his poise is really what made his outfit — I mean, look at his red carpet pose. Werk. It. The Weeknd.
While he looks incredible flying solo, I'm a bit disappointed girlfriend Bella Hadid wasn't in attendance. After all, they made jaws drop earlier this month at the Grammys togther. The two slayed in matching all black ensembles — The Weeknd in head-to-toe black, from his tux to his bowtie, and Bella Hadid in a va-va-voom floor-length black gown with a plunging neckline and cutouts above her hips. The two of them couple are both relationship and fashion goals.
But enough about the Grammys — let's review The Weeknd's Oscars outfit, shall we?

Not only is the 26-year-old crooner up for an award ("Earned It" was nominated for Best Original Song), he is also set to perform later this evening.
