The 7 Best Vitamin E Products For Your Face

by Jessica Thomas

I've heard of the beauty and health benefits of vitamin E before, but it wasn't until I thought back on a dermatologist appointment from my teenage years that I remembered how long ago I first heard about its skin-saving properties. I had some scarring on my forehead (ah, teenage acne), and my dermatologist suggested vitamin E oil as a way to reduce the scarring. Vitamin E is all the rage in the dermatology world right now, and for good reason. If you're a beginner, these vitamin E products are the best for your skin and also a great place to start.

Vitamin E is known because its powerful antioxidants provide a natural barrier to the sun. It can also block other harmful elements. "Vitamin E oil works to block free radicals from the body, which play a large part in the aging process," Stafford Broumand, a cosmetic and plastic surgeon, told the Huffington Post. "If we can fight off free radicals, then we can reduce wrinkles and keep the skin youthful-looking."

And, that's not the only benefit. "It's also an anti-inflammatory, so it calms and hydrates sensitive skin," facialist Joanna Vargos told the Huffington Post.

Although Vitamin E may be too heavy for every day use, it should be in your beauty product rotation. Here's seven products to choose from.

Vitamin E Oil Stick, $4, Ulta

This basic (and totally inexpensive) oil stick will utilize vitamin E's moisturizing properties to soothe and protect your lips and eyes.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream, $20, The Body Shop

The Body Shop has several vitamin E products, but this eye cream helps reduce puffiness and dark circles.

Burt's Bees Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil (Pack of 3) , $18, Amazon

This vitamin E oil is designed to help pregnant women prevent stretch marks, but its amazing moisturizing properties work for any customer.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturizing Cream, $20, The Body Shop

Another Body Shop find, this cream protects and moisturizes.

One Love Organics Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin E Eye Balm, $49, Derm Store

This vitamin E eye balm sounds so soothing, and I love the simple packaging.

Trader Joe's Vitamin E Oil, $9, Amazon

Super simple, but this Trader Joe's vitamin E oil is a great way to dip your foot into the vitamin E waters. If there's not a TJ's near you, you can find it on Amazon.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm, $42, Amazon

Vitamin E is known to interact well with products containing vitamin C, and this Dermalogica eye cream does it for you.

From eyes to lips to face, these seven products will help you test out vitamin E whatever way you want.
